There’s no better way to spend a sunny day on the Chain O’Lakes than cruising across the water — and now, you can make Smokehouse part of your next boating adventure! Whether you’re coming in from the north, south, east, or west, getting to Smokehouse by boat is easy and scenic. Here’s how to find us and what to look for as you approach.

Where Smokehouse Is Located

Smokehouse sits in the same navigable inlet as McDonald’s, Fox Water Agency, and Gordie’s Marina, making it a convenient stop for anyone boating around Pistakee Lake.

You’ll find our channel on the northeast side of Pistakee Lake, just north of Eagle Point — a familiar landmark for local boaters. The entrance to the channel is easy to spot thanks to the large Eagle Statue and clear Smokehouse signage marking the way.

Finding the Channel

As you approach the northeast shoreline of Pistakee Lake, keep an eye out for the Eagle Statue that stands proudly near the mouth of the inlet. The statue, along with posted signage, marks the entrance to the waterway that leads directly to Smokehouse.

The channel is calm, easy to navigate, and wide enough for comfortable passage — whether you’re on a fishing boat, pontoon, or jet ski.

Directions by Water

From the North (Fox Lake / Nippersink)

Head south into Pistakee Lake and continue past Eagle Point. As you near the northeast corner, watch for the Eagle Statue onshore — that’s your cue to turn into the inlet. You’ll see signage for Smokehouse as you enter.

From the South (Johnsburg / Fox River)

Cruise north through the river and into Pistakee Lake. Stay along the eastern shoreline, passing Eagle Point on your left. The Eagle Statue and Smokehouse signage mark the channel entrance ahead on your right.

From the West (McHenry Channel / Pistakee Bay)

Navigate east across Pistakee Lake toward the Eagle Point area. Once you reach the northeastern shoreline, look for the Eagle Statue and turn into the clearly marked inlet that leads directly to Smokehouse.

From the East (Chain O’Lakes / Fox Lake area)

Make your way west into Pistakee Lake, keeping the northern shoreline on your right. Continue toward the Eagle Point area — the Eagle Statue will guide you into the correct channel for Smokehouse, near Gordie’s Marina and the Fox Water Agency.

Dock and Visit

Once inside the channel, you’ll see several familiar landmarks — McDonald’s, Gordie’s Marina, and the Fox Water Agency — all nearby. Smokehouse is located just beyond them, making it one of the most convenient lakeside destinations for boaters looking to rest, refresh, and explore.

Make Smokehouse Part of Your Day on the Water

Whether you’re out fishing, tubing, or cruising the Chain, Smokehouse is the perfect stop for those who love the lake life. With easy boat access, clear landmarks, and a welcoming vibe, it’s never been easier to enjoy your favorite products without leaving the water behind.

So next time you’re out on Pistakee Lake, keep an eye out for the Eagle Statue — it’s your gateway to the best lakeside dispensary in the Chain O’Lakes area.
